More Fun With Words

Yesterday we met a New Friend who I had met once before and who knows many people I knew. We quickly got to chatting.

New Friend: Then I came to this Church and when they played this song and it was just….waterworks (hands pointing to face).

Varun: ‘Waterworks’ meaning there was water coming from your eyes? Or they were having a pool party?

New Friend: BAHAHAHAH!

(I think she likes us)

Later, with an Old Friend, we were enjoying lunch and catching up.

Old Friend: She is dating someone! He produces death metal.

Varun: What’s ‘death metal’?

Me: (Searching my head for an explanation or band. This is a difficult task for my sheltered self as I didn’t even listen to Michael Jackson growing up, let alone Death Metal)

Varun: So, is he a blacksmith that produces stuff to kill people…like knives?

Us: BAHAHAHA!

I love Varun’s creativity, sense of humor and willingness to laugh at himself. And to let me post this here. <GRIN>

I’m still waiting for the elephant. Did I miss it? We have stuff like that all the time.

Over a sign advertisisng Hot Dogs, Mr O “They are eating dog here”. I’m still not sure if he was serious or joking, but I assured him they were not, just in case.
