Le Weekend

What is 2 wives +3 engineers+ 1 baby = ? Yummy food, hilarious conversations, late night talks (“Okay after this conversation we’ll go to sleep”) and board games. Our little apartment was bursting with friends visiting from Vancouver: Matt, Jon & Vicki and baby Jordan.

The guys were sooo happy to talk Engineering and theology again

Varun and I got to babysit 3 month old Jordan and the little dear cried for 1.5 hours (!). As I rocked him Varun made funny noises and danced Bhangra. Every time he stopped Jordan started crying again. I kid you not. The only way we got Jordan to fall asleep was by Varun continuously dancing. It was great parenting practice as well as a confirmation: our children will have a very strange and entertaining childhood.

He is so cute!

On Friday I went on a mad cooking-cleaning-preparing binge and decided to make ice cream cake using actual cake, mint chocolate chip ice cream and peppermint oreos. It was delicious, but very difficult to cut.

Jordan's parents requested he be in the same picture as the knife. I swear...

While we were enjoying dessert,  we ended up on the topic of animal procreation (Don’t ask). Varun mentioned that lions “do it” in 10 seconds. We did not believe this fact.

Me: But seriously, how could they do it in 10 seconds. Like everything?

Varun: Yup. Foreplay, sex, the whole deal.

Me: Um, I don’t think lions do foreplay.

Varun: (Holding up his hands as paws) Why not, they have FOUR paws?!

Dinner at a fabulous thai resturant we discovered

After everyone left, we found this on the fridge:

Seriously? These guys crack me up!

That post was funny on so many levels…Varun dancing (which I would love to see demonstrated) and the diaper on your fridge are my two favorite things. :) And yes, I’m posting this as you guys are all downstairs…and now it’s bed time.
